Dr. Kevin Bryant collaborates with clients using a context-driven approach in leadership coaching, team development, and organizational strategy. Leveraging his extensive background in adult development, teaching, and learning, Dr. Bryant empowers clients to comprehend themselves as leaders and learners, facilitating sustainable transformational change.
With nearly two decades of experience in the education sector, Kevin has partnered with a diverse range of stakeholders, from state and district leaders to teachers, addressing critical issues impacting millions of lives. As an urban school leader, he has been dedicated to ensuring that academic success is not determined by zip code or ethnic background, particularly among marginalized groups.
Entering education through the New York City Teaching Fellows, Kevin taught Mathematics in Canarsie, Brooklyn. After earning his Master’s in Education Leadership from Teachers College at Columbia University, he honed his leadership skills in the New Leaders Emerging Leaders Program and New Leaders Aspiring Principals Program Cohort 12.
Dr. Bryant served in various leadership roles, notably as Assistant Principal of GED and as a Turnaround and Master Principal. In the latter role, he successfully managed two schools simultaneously, turning around a persistently underperforming high school in just two years and achieving "Good Standing." Concurrently, he ensured ongoing progress at another turnaround school, where he previously increased graduation rates by over 30%.
In 2021, Kevin earned his doctorate in Education Leadership from Harvard University, with a focus on the leadership development of high-potential and high-performing leaders of color. Currently, Dr. Bryant serves as the Executive Director of Special Initiatives in the Global Strategy and Talent division at the College Board. He continues his commitment to working with schools and district leaders nationwide, advocating for equitable resources, supports, and outcomes for all students.
