Dr. Dia Bryant is a prominent figure in the field of education, dedicated to addressing social justice issues within the intersection of education practice and policy. Commencing her career nearly two decades ago as a New York City Teaching Fellow in Brooklyn, New York, she made significant contributions to the city's education sector, serving in various roles such as a teacher, school founder, teacher trainer, and Special Assistant to the First Deputy Chancellor.

Dr. Bryant provides invaluable support to system-level leaders, offering guidance on instructional approaches, program design, fiscal equity, equitable school improvement, and change management.

Dr. Bryant is recognized as a strategic leader with a proven track record in designing schools domestically and abroad. Her expertise encompasses various areas, including child care, advanced coursework, curriculum design, early education, and strategic advocacy. Additionally, she actively contributes to professional learning through the Public Education Leadership Project (PELP) at Harvard Business School, designs programming at higher education institutions and advises political leaders.

In her most recent role as the Executive Director of The Education Trust–New York, Dr. Bryant spearheaded an ambitious advocacy agenda. Dr. Bryant played a pivotal role in coalition building, contributing to the passage of laws addressing poverty through measures such as tax credits, weighted funding formulas, strong academic curricula, and developmental screenings for young New Yorkers.

Her work and insights have garnered widespread recognition, featured in the New York Times, Buffalo News, and Politico. Dr. Bryant has also been a panelist at distinguished events hosted by organizations like The Hunt Institute, the Robin Hood Foundation, the Sloane Foundation, the Pritzker Children’s Initiative, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, earning her a place in New York’s City and State Education Power 100 for three consecutive years.

Dr. Bryant holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kalamazoo College, a Master's in Math Education from Brooklyn College, and a Doctorate in Education Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Bryant proudly identifies as a member of the BeyHive, expressing her admiration for all things Beyoncé. She also shares her commitment to public service with her life partner and children.
